Just by the trailer alone, we're already big fans of Gus Van Sant's upcoming film Milk, starring Sean Penn and a host of other male actors in the 18-34 demographic (James Franco, Diego Luna, Emile Hirsch) and the thing hasn't even come out yet! Stoking our fire even more, this month's Interview has a cover story featuring one of those male actors, the recently ubiquitous Mr. Franco. Look Out Below! Interview Throws Party in André Balazs's Still-Unfinished Standard Hotel
As far as Fashion Week parties go, Thursday night's Interview magazine relaunch party at the yet-to-be finished Standard Hotel in the meatpacking district will be hard to top. The Standard is still a construction zone—exposed wire, plywood laid down for walkways, DJs in hard hats—and the effect was very much early '90s East Berlin, except for all the New York darlings wandering around, thrilled at the prospect of a new party venue.
Arden Wohl was there. Donna Karan was there. Gossip Girl’s Taylor Momsen made an appearance, as did model Jessica Stam, author Tama Janowitz, real estate developer Janna Bullock, socialite Stella Schnabel, and actresses Mary-Kate Olsen and Lauren Hutton. read more »

On the evening of March 10, Christopher Bollen, the new editor in chief of Interview magazine, met with Off the Record over a cup of Earl Grey at Grounded, a coffee shop on Jane Street. Mr. Bollen, 32, was speaking about a long-lost era when some magazines were so good that it absolutely terrified you to miss a single issue.
